Youth Academy
West Coast Rangers Youth Advanced Player Pathway
In 2025 West Coast Rangers will be running an accredited NZ Football Talent Development Programme (TDP) for our Youth Academy teams. This is a 28-week program and teams in our TDP will compete for the first time in the NRFL Premier divisions in 2024.
The Academy will also oversee WCR teams that compete in the NRF Championship / Conference divisions. Trainings are Tuesday / Thursday with games played on Sundays

This Program is based on New Zealand Football’s Talent Development Pathway (TDP)

It is a NZF accredited program and is considered best practice for player development

It is focused on ‘player first’ and is preparing our more talented players for playing in U23, 1st team and professional or university level football

Operates from February to September, a 28-week program

The program is based around two training sessions per week, with an optional 3rd (recommended) Technical/Strength and Conditioning session available for those who are interested

Players are invited to attend the Youth Academy Identification Window in February and teams will be selected from here.
Youth Girls Talent Development Programme
In 2025 West Coast Rangers will hold the TDP accreditation on the girls side of the club and entering the NRFL Youth Girls Premier League. Our U14 and U16 Girls teams will train 2x a week with our C License qualified coaches. Players will also have the option to do additional training on Mondays with the Mixed (Boys) TDP.
