Youth Football (13 - 16 years)

Youth grade football comprises grades 13, 14, 15 and 16. After 16th grade (under 17's), players move to senior football.

Team Types

At this age, all girls play in a girls-only team.  Some girls, dendending on ability, choose to play women's senior football.

• Youth Social Teams - For players who aren't selected for the Development Squad or wish to play football on a social level.  Teams are put together based on preferred location, past team affiliation and requests to play with friends.  These teams will play grading games at the start of the season and placed in an appropriate level of compeition. These teams will typically be volunteer-coached and will train once a week.

• Youth Academy - These are the top teams for each of our youth grades and are for players that wish to train and play two to three times a week with a dedicated professional coach.  Players need to attend trials and be invited to play within the squad.  There is an extra fee in addition to the club registraion fee. Click here for more information.

Season Dates

The 2024 season will start on Saturday, 27th April and will finish in late September to coincide with school terms two and three.

Game Times

Youth social teams play on Saturday and participate in inter-club fixtures, in both home and away matches.

Fees

The cost to register for Youth Football is $210.00.

Club Uniform

Each player needs to have their own club shirt, shorts and socks, as well as boots and shinpads.  You can buy online from the WCR Gear Shop
