How are you developing goal keepers?

We need to think of goal keepers as a ‘hero’ position, just like our younger players all want to be a striker. Its normal for players to ‘find out’ that they have goalkeeper abilities, simply by having a turn in that role. As with all positions at the start of the junior journey, everyone gets to experience the role and by U12 there will just be a few people rotating through the role. Once we do identify ‘goalkeepers’ we will provide them with dedicated training with qualified and experienced goalkeeper coaches.
