FIFA are looking for volunteers to assist at Fred Taylor Park – home to Vietnam for the Women’s World Cup

The roles report to the venue co-ordinator for Fred Taylor Park and involve assisting the Vietnam team in their training and prepration for the tournament.

They are looking for 3 volunteers per shift. We anticipate that this creates a fantatic opportunity for around 8-10 people from the club and local community who are keen to get involved.

  • This role will have you working very closely with the team and give you the most exposure to how the teams train and prepare for the tournament
  • We anticipate one shift per day on average throughout the tournament, however the team may have 2 trainings per day when they first arrive in NZL, requiring multiple shifts
  • We anticipate volunteer shifts of approximately 4 hours duration  including 1 hour prior to the team traiing session, 2 hurs approximately during the session, and 1 hour after the session has concluded to put equipment away 
  • All volunteers will report to a venue coordinator, as listed above
  • Dates will depend on the when the team arrives and how long they remain in the tournament, but roughly 10th July until at least the 3rd August which is the end of the group stage. Successful teams may train through until mid-August
  • Uniform and meals will be provided when working onsite

Please note that to be eligible applicants must: be 18 years or older by 1 June 2023 and..

  • be living in one of the host cities or arrange (and pay for) your own accommodation and travel to a host city 
  • speak at least intermediate level English; 
  • be available for a minimum of 5 -12 shifts during the Tournament period (depending on the host city and role)
  • be able to complete an online interview and attend all required training sessions 
  • pass a background check 
  • be responsible and enthusiastic
  • be committed to contributing to the organisation of a major global event and representing the FIFA Women's World Cup™ with pride and respect.
