Andy Dunn announced as Director of Football
West Coast Rangers F.C. are happy to announce the appointment of Andy Dunn as Director Of Football.
The Director of Football is the first of our full-time staff roles to be confirmed and holds ultimate responsibility for all football related matters at the club.
Andy holds an Oceania Football Confederation B Coaching License and is also a qualified New Zealand Football Community Coach Educator. Andy joins us having worked with Norwest United for the past 18 months, having coached their Women’s Conference team and 16th Grade Girls team.
Prior to his work at Norwest United Andy was a key member of staff at Fusion FC in Vancouver, Canada. In the 7 years Andy was at Fusion FC he was instrumental in laying the foundations of the club's current successes in the British Columbia Soccer Premier League and later became the Assistant Technical Director for the club. Andy has a great track record of developing players that have subsequently gone on to represent the Vancouver Whitecaps, Canada National Programs at U17 and U20 and also at a number of top Universities across North America.
In the short time Andy has been in New Zealand he has achieved much success having coached the NFF NAGT 16th Grade Girls (Gold Medal Winner) and has been Assistant Coach with the Northern Lights in the ISPS Handa National Women's League in 2019 (Silver Medalists) and 2020.
In the role Andy will work closely with our Lead Technical Assistant, Community Development Manager, and all team coaches including our Men’s Premier Head Coach and Women’s Conference Head coach and their coaching teams. You can expect to see more announcements regarding those roles very soon.
